As Director of Business Development, Mrs. O’Brien manages new business, strategic growth, branding, marketing, capture, and proposal processes and initiatives for OneZero. She holds over 16 years of experience marketing and selling solutions and services in both the public and private sector markets including 10 years of small business / super 8(a) business development, marketing, and operations experience. She has supported numerous technical deliveries within the commercial and government spaces including learning management system implementation and courseware design for the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), testing and documentation support for the US Naval Research Laboratory's (NRL) Oracle financial system, and interoperability / authorizations process support for the US Air Force Lifecycle Management Center (AFLCMC).
Prior to her time in government contracting, Erin created thought leadership and best practices for implementing Business Process Management (BPM), Business Process Analysis (BPA), Knowledge Capture, and Enterprise Architecture (EA) solutions at Metastorm (now OpenText). She earned her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English with a minor in History from Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland.
Erin lives in Bend, Oregon with her husband, Ben, and her daughter, Rylee, where she and her family enjoy the Pacific Northwest’s many outdoor activities: rock climbing, skiing, mountain biking, and surfing. When not hanging out in the mountains or on the beach, Erin can be found by her fireplace knitting and enjoying a glass of whiskey, neat. As the daughter of a 20-year US Army veteran, Erin is honored to support OneZero’s mission of promoting the professional advancement of military veterans and is excited to be a part of this quickly growing team.
